A New World Record for Tommy Hughes!

Tommy Hughes has just broken another World Record for a 59 year old at the 10k distance! In the 38th Podium 4 Sport Seeley Cup 10k at Ormeau Park today, Tommy had an incredible race and finished in 32:56.

This smashes the previous record (also held by Tommy) which was 33:12. In 2019, Tommy has broken five World Records as an individual for a 59 year old but he also recently gained a sixth World Record for a combined Father and Son Marathon result.

What a year it has been for Tommy. We look forward to celebrating many more feats and records with him as he enters his new age category on 8th January. A huge congratulations to you Tommy from everyone at Termoneeny Running Club! ????????????????
