Belfast City Marathon Health Month motivating you to Keep Well this February

The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon is back with their official “Health Month” in February with a full schedule of activities, promotional visits and competitions to keep you healthy and active in 2020!

The organisers are delighted to team up with their sponsors and Official Charity Partner, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, visiting workplaces across Northern Ireland with the charity’s Keeping Well Van.

The Cancer Focus Keeping Well van is a mobile drop-in unit which will bring health checks, cancer awareness and healthy lifestyle information directly to your workplace. This service empowers people to take control of their own health and take steps to lower their risk of cancer.

In addition, employees at each visit will benefit from a Lunchtime Drop-In Centre including nutrition tips and promotions from Official Nutrition Sponsor, Framar Health, healthy recipe cards courtesy of SPAR and fitness challenges from Official Gym Sponsor Better.  Four Star Pizza will also be there to fuel everyone taking part!

Schools across Northern Ireland will be getting involved also with the Secondary Schools Cook Off Challenge, whereby pupils must create a healthy recipe from locally sourced SPAR ingredients which will help them stay fuller and healthier for longer.
