Acorns AC Blue Belles 5k Road Race:

On Saturday 21^st July 2018, hundreds of athletes took on the annual Blue Belles 5k road race in Magherafelt, a well organised ladies only event hosted by Acorns AC.

At the sharp end, international athlete Cathy McCourt (Unattached) dominated from start to finish.  Cathy continued her return to full fitness with an impressive outing, winning in 19:06 (1^st place).

The always impressive Acorns AC pair of Leanne Sands and Lisa Simpson completed the podium places, with Leanne clocking 19:28 for 2^nd place and Lisa crossing the line in 19:51 for 3^rd place.

Derry Track Club’s Elaine Connor completed the course in 20:19 for 4^th place, while Kate Semple of Acorns AC secured a top five finish in 20:30 (5^th place).
