Ciara Mageean clocks World Indoor standard in America:

Northern Ireland’s Ciara Mageean (UCD AC / Steve Vernon) achieved the IAAF World Indoor Championships 1500m standard in America last night (Saturday 11th February 2018).

Competing in a top class 1500m race at the New Balance Games in Boston, Ciara recorded 4:09.47 (8th place) – the Athletics Ireland standard is 4:11.00.

The IAAF World Indoor Championships are scheduled to take place in Birmingham, England between the 1st and 4th March 2018.
