Conor Bradley and Grace Carson Shine at Autumn International Cross Country

It was a successful weekend for Mid Ulster AC’s Grace Carson and City of Derry Spartan AC’s Conor Bradley, who won their respective events at the SPAR Autumn Open International Cross Country on Sunday 20th October 2019.
The Spar International took place at the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus, with a number of Northern Ireland’s cross country athletes taking part. In the Senior Men’s 7,500m event, Conor Bradley continued his good form of late, by finishing in 22:55 to take the top prize.

Grace Carson took the top spot in the Junior Women’s event in a time of 15:55, while Springwell Running Club’s Niamh Carr came 4th in a time of 16:51.

In the Women’s event, Finn Valley AC’s Teresa Doherty took 1st place in the F40 category in a time of 21:48.

Glenn Donnelly (Acorns AC) came 6th in the Master’s Men’s event in 24:53, with Dermot McElchar (Finn Valley AC) in 10th place in 25:23. Francis Marsh (North Down AC) claimed the top spot in the M50 category in a time of 26:58. Meanwhile, Paul Elliot (Beechmount Harriers) came 1st in the Master’s Men’s 65+ event in 24:33 and Joseph Stewart (Jog Lisburn Running Club) came 1st in the M75 category in a time of 31:15.
