“Dark Hedges” Podium 2019

Aaron Woodman, Eoin Hughes, Neill Weir

Runners from across the province and further afield descended on the village of Dervock, Co. Antrim for the annual Dark Hedges Half Marathon and 5 Mile Run on Saturday.

Billed as the Kennedy Kane McArthur “Festival of Running” hundreds of athletes took part, all hoping to get a great picture taken running through the internationally famous “Dark Hedges”.

Dervock is the birthplace of Kennedy Kane McArthur, Marathon gold medal winner at the Stockholm 1912 Olympic Games. The Dark Hedges Half Marathon is organised by Springwell Running Club and Dervock & District Community Association.

Podium results below. Well done to all 301 athletes who ran the half and 102 who ran the 5 mile. Great job Springwell Running Club.
