Divis 10K Preview

The Divis 10k will be held this year on Sunday 29th September. This is the 8th year of this very popular event hosted by @legiteventsni.

The route incorporates some steep climbing over trail, boardwalk and gravel paths. The views from the summit of both Divis and Black Mountain are spectacular and on a good day you can expect to see as far as Scotland and England.

We have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and medals for everyone else.

As usual there will be a kid’s fun run to encourage the little legs to get involved. The fun run is not timed but we still have awards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd boy and girl as an incentive. Kids also get a medal for participation.

To finish we will have our usual post-race refreshments back at the barn. Whether you are a serious athlete looking to break the course record: currently held by Danny McLaughlin 37.34 (2016) and Naomi Broughton for the ladies 45.32 (2013), or just in it for the views and banter – this promises to be a great event for everyone.

Who will be King and Queen of the Hill in 2019?
