Sperrin Harriers Winter League Trail Series 2018/19:

Eoin Hughes (Acorns AC) and Gillian Wasson (Ballymena Runners) secured opening day wins as Sperrin Harriers welcomed nearly 200 athletes to Race 1 of their popular Sperrin Harriers Winter Trail Series 2018/19 (Saturday 10th November 2018).

The opening race was the Davagh Forest 10k.

Eoin Hughes took top honours with ninety seconds to spare, breaking the tape in 36:25 (1st place).  Ballymena Runners man Jason Wilson claimed a well deserved 2nd place in 37:55, before Gavin Corey (Unattached), a Series regular, completed the top three in 38:17 (3rd place).

In the ladies race, Northern Ireland international Gillian Wasson led the way in 43:15 (1st place). Acorns AC star Leanne Sands took the runners up spot in 44:49 (2nd place), while Greencastle AC athlete Olivia Mullin clocked 45:05 for 3rd place.
