Stirling XC (Scotland) and Autumn 100 Trail Race (England):

On Saturday 21st October 2017, Northern Ireland Eoin Lennon (Carnethy HRC) produced an exceptional performance to secure a 5th place finish at the Scotland East District League XC in Stirling, Scotland.  Against a field of top quality athletes, the endurance specialist crossed the line in 30:26.  The race was won by Fife AC athlete Logan Rees in 29:29 (1st place)

In England, North Coast ultra-running enthusiasts Nicki McPeake and Ronald Peacock took on the Autumn 100 Trail Race.  Organised by Centurion Running, the event was based in the twinned villages of Goring and Streatley on the River Thames.  The Course itself reflects the shape of a cross and takes runners on a series of four different 25 mile out and back spurs using sections of both the Ridgeway and Thames Path National Trails.

Nicki continued his fantastic form, completing the 100 mile route (with 1,170 metres of ascent/descent) in 19:05:27, for 16th place.  Ron, who, like Nicki, recently competed well at the Causeway Coast Ultra Marathon finished in 44th place in 22:17:13.  The race was won by Paul Maskell in 14:34:01.
