It really was a PB Sunday in Monaghan Town as 14 KEL runners travelled and 13 returned with pbs across both distances. In the 5mile event Martin Dorman finished 3rd over with a new personal best of 34.28. Well done Marty.

Always nice to get on that podium. In the extremely popular 10mile event Shane Coney led the charges home breaking the sub60 target with 59.47 (11th) closely followed by his brother Decky in 60.16 (13th) and club mate Cathal O’Hagan 60.32 (14th).

All 3 men worked hard through the lead group and came home with extremely respectable performances. But the personal bests didn’t stop there and every one of the lads went home very happy with their efforts.
