Comber 10k Road Race 2018:

Lindsay Gordon (North Belfast Harriers) and Jessica Craig (North Down AC) secured the top prizes as nearly 800 athletes took on the 4^th annual Comber 10k road race (Friday 29^th June 2018).

The event was part of the popular Novosco 10k Grand Prix 2018.

The high temperatures affected the field, but there were still impressive times posted, with pre-race favourite Lindsay leading the way in 33:55 (1^st place).  Victoria Park & Connswater AC athlete Stephen Wylie took 2^nd place in 34:32, just seven seconds ahead of 2:40 marathoner Darrel Cooper (Unattached), who completed the top three in 34:49 (3d place).

The ladies race played out in a similar fashion, with the outstanding favourite Jessica Craig (North Down AC) dominating proceedings.  The recently crowned NI & Ulster 5,000m Champion clocked 37:59 for 1^st place.  Dromore AC’s podium regular Susan Smyth crossed the line in 40:29 for 2^nd place, while Collette McCourt (Dub Runners) sealed 3^rd place in 40:54.
