Local athletes impress at popular events outside Northern Ireland!

Local athletes impress outside Northern Ireland:

QUB AC’s Rebecca Henderson won the Glaslough 5k on Easter Monday (Monday 2nd April 2018).  Northern Ireland international, Rebecca, led the ladies home in 18:36.

Fellow NI athlete Stephen Cassidy (Enniskillen RC) ran 16:10 for 3rd place in the men’s race, just edging out Beechmount’s Peter Gracey (4th place – 16:12).  Full results for the event are available here:  Glaslough 5k 2018 Results

A few days earlier, fellow Northern Ireland international Danielle Fegan (Armagh AC) claimed 3rd place at the Salford 10k road race in Manchester, England (Friday 30th March 2018).  Danielle recorded a personal best of 35:11. Full results for event are available HERE.

Northern Ireland based athlete dominated the podium at the Ballyliffin 10 mile Coastal Challenge in County Donegal, Ireland, this weekend (Saturday 31st March 2018).  Greg Roberts (City of Derry AC) led the field home in 54:26 (1st place), with Finn Valley AC’s Gerard Gallagher and another Spartan, Aaron Doherty (City of Derry AC) following in 54:32 (2nd place) and 55:31 (3rd place), respectively.

In the ladies race, Kiera Roche (Club Unknown) won in a time of 1:04:35 (1st place), with Finn Valley AC’s Catriona Devine taking the runners up prize in 1:07:07 (2nd place).  Ballycastle Runners athlete Gemma McDonald completed the ladies podium in 1:08:16 (3rd place).  Full results for the event are available HERE.
