News just in – our event on Saturday 24 October is relocating!
We have just confirmed use of the old Maze/Long Kesh heritage site, which will now be the location for our eighth and final event – the ChampionChip Ireland Lisburn Festival Of Running.
Why is this so exciting?
This is a first for NI Running – no other running event has ever taken place on this site.
Our off road, traffic-free location means events can now take place slightly later. Starting times will be pushed to mid-morning, with the marathon at 9AM, half marathon at 9.15am, 10K at 1pm and 5k at 2pm.
The course is completely flat and entirely on tarmac roads – perfect for anyone shooting for a PB or aiming to set a fast time.
This will be a great way to round off the race series – a brand new location, and a first for running events in Northern Ireland. Let’s make it a good one!
