NI sprinter Amy Foster continues good form with win in Germany!


Amy Foster continues good form in Germany:

Northern Ireland 100m and 200m record holder Amy Foster (City of Lisburn AC / David Reid) continued her recent good form at the 47th International Athletics Meeting Rhede in Germany today (Saturday 29th July 2017).

Amy, who has already hit the Gold Coast qualifying standard over 100m, clocked 11.61 in the heats before taking 1st place in the final in 11.47.

The City of Lisburn AC star narrowly missed hitting the 200m CWG standard, when taking 3rd place in a blanket finish in the 200m.  Amy broke the beam in a seasons best of 23.63; the CWG standard is 23.54 – interestingly, both the race winner, Phil Healy (Ireland), and runner up recorded 23.62.
