Cara Bundoran 10 mile Road Race 2018:

On Saturday 10th March 2018, local athletes dominated the podium at the popular Cara Bundoran 10 mile road race in County Donegal, Ireland.

The 1,110 strong field was led home by well-known Irish international athlete John Travers (Donore Harriers) in 53:01 (1st place), but it was runners from Northern Ireland who secured the remaining podium places.  Keith Shiels (Foyle Valley AC) continued his return to fitness with an excellent run for 2nd place; Keith recorded 53:27 for the runners up spot.  Derry Track Club’s Conan McCaughey followed in 53:40 for 3rd place.

In the ladies race, Teresa Doherty (Finn Valley AC) took the ladies title in 59:40 (1st place).  Fiona Stack of Raheny Shamrock AC crossed the line in 1:02:08 for 2nd place, before Claire McGuigan (Lifford Strabane AC) claimed a podium place in 1:03:03 (3rd place).
