As you will be aware 2020 has been a hard year for charities.   Our RNLI lifeboats in Northern Ireland protect our communities through our 24-hour search and rescue service and with the implications of Covid-19, we haven’t been able to fundraise through the year to keep our lifeboats afloat.    So for this festive time of year the RNLI has changed our annual reindeer run into a virtual event for the first time.

Entrants can take part wherever you are on either Saturday 12 or Sunday 13 December – or both days if you’re up for a challenge!  Choose your own route – round and round the garden, your favourite park or even the treadmill! Choose your own distance – 1k, 5K, 10K+, half-marathon (21K) or full marathon (42K). And go at your own pace.

All funds raised over the festive season will help the volunteer crews in your local lifeboat, stay safe in winter winds, freezing waters and huge waves when they go to the rescue of people in our communities.  It’s been one of the RNLI’s most difficult years with increasing callouts and falling income.  Through your kindness and support, we will save more lives.
