BORN2RUN Events are delighted to announce that their first race of the new decade will take place in Tollymore Forest Park on January 4th. This will be the 5th race of their Belfast Telegraph RUN FOREST RUN Race series which has proved extremely popular in recent years since winning the Gold at The Running Awards in London for the Best Race Series in UK/Ireland. Runners can choose between the 5K & 10K depending on their preference.

Runners don’t need to have competed in any of the previous races in the series in order to take part.

BORN2RUN’s motto is GREAT RACES IN GREAT PLACES and Tollymore Forest Park certainly meets this criteria. Tollymore Forest Park is situated at the foothills of the Mournes in Bryansford and is a beautiful setting for a race. It has been used as a setting for scenes for TV favourites Game of Thrones and The Fall and more recently Dublin Murders.

RUN FOREST RUN Tollymore is the perfect opportunity to burn off a few calories after all the excesses of the festive season. All runners will receive a beautiful commemorative medal as well as post race refreshments on completion of the race.

The Tollymore race had over 700 entries last year and it looks as though this year will see an even bigger field with a cross section of club runners and unaffiliated runners expected to take part.

Online entry is closes on Wednesday 1st January at 11pm however runners can still enter on Saturday (on the day entry is at the increased entry fee of £25). Registration takes place in Tollymore Forest Park from 9-10.30 am. For more info on the RUN FOREST RUN SERIES go to www.born2runevents.com
