Sara Moore continues to impress in USA:

Omagh lady Sara Moore (Oklahoma City University) continued to impress in America with her first ever sub 5 minute mile clocking this weekend (Saturday 17th June 2017).

Competing in a high quality field at the ‘Go Mile’ road race in Arkansas, Sara recorded an excellent 4:59.97, narrowly missing out on a podium place when taking 4th place; it was enough to see Sara take the top prize in her age category.

This summer, Sara completed four years of proudly representing Oklahoma City University, during which, she enjoyed some exceptional performances.  The rising star picked up an outstanding 12 All American honours and two National Championship gold medals (in the 4 x 800m and DMR – Distance Medley Relay).

On top of this, Sara also holds Oklahoma City University records for the 1000m (2:51) and the 1500m (4:29), and was part of the record breaking 4 x 800m (9:11) and DMR (11:51) teams.

Sara will now enjoy the summer in Oklahoma City, before returning to OCU to continue her studies in August.
