Jengana 10k 2017:
On Saturday 13th May 2017, a record number of athletes from across the province descended on Shanes Castle Estate in Antrim for the 5th annual Jengana 10k race, a well-organised event which covers a stunning course within the confines of the popular County Antrim Estate.
At the head of the pack, Northern Ireland and Ireland international Stephen Scullion (Aldershot, Farnham & District AC) showed his class to record a comfortable win. Stephen, who clocked 2:17:59 at the recent London Marathon, cruised to victory in 32:07 (1st place). Acorns AC man Eoin Hughes followed in 35:05 (2nd place), while event regular Dennis Scott (North Down AC) completed the top three in 35:15 (3rd place).

Nicola Swinson (PACE Running Club) enjoyed her second victory at this event, in similarly comfortable fashion to her male winning equivalent. Nicola broke the tape in 44:40 (1st place for top honours. Larne AC’s Julianne Keane took 2nd place in a personal best of 46:43, before North Down AC’s Rebecca Collins crossed the line in 47:27 for 3rd place.
