Well done to SGR Lawrence Malone on Saturday at the Dundalk  Lawrence  finished in 11th place with a great time of 00:21:23 and added yet another Parkrun venue to his list.
A SGR team involving Ryan Carson, Colm Murphy, Barry McCarroll, Martin Campbell, Martin Mc Shane and Robbie Marsh as a race Marshall and part of the SGR support team proudly represented the club at the Mourne Skyline Mountain-Trail Race last week in Newcastle. Martin Mc Shane had to sadly stop because of an injury but we know the best is yet to come from him and he will be back stronger. we wish him a speedy recovery . The Mourne Skyline Mountain-Trail Race which is part of the Skyrunning UK – Ireland Series is a gruelling race over the Mourne Mountains with a course measuring 35k and approximately 11,056ft (3,370m) of ascent and 11,024ft (3,370m) of descent. The highest point will be 2,801ft and the lowest point is at Sea level. The team came away with amazing times on the course and thanks to SGR teammate Robbie Marsh for his support on route with not just our club runners but them all. Well done to the whole team at SGR…..#teamSGR
