Rathfriland 10K

On Wednesday 28th August Andy Campbell took part in the challenging Rathfriland 10k finishing in 1:05:22. There were a few heavy rain showers as well as hills to contend with but this was yet another strong, consistent run from Andy who continues to improve week on week. Our thanks go to Rathfriland Regeneration and Rathfriland Runners for their hospitality.

Moira Lakes Magheralin 5K

Andy Campbell was back racing on Friday, this time at the Moira Lakes sponsored Magheralin 5K.  The weather held off for the most part with Andy finishing in a super time of 31:42 – well done Andy keep up the great work!

Parkrun

MUSA

Our four MUSA Park runners on Saturday were Thomas Doherty, Pauline McWilliams, Anne O’Doherty and Declan Leung with all four giving it their best with superb results. Thomas finished 4th in 18:58. Declan set a fantastic new pb of 19:54, coming in 8th overall – congratulations! Anne was 5th female home finishing in 22:31 and Pauline finished in 34:22! Well done everyone.

Stormont

Kirsty Quigg ran Stormont Parkrun on Saturday morning and finished in an impressive 25:17!  This is a two lap course set in the grounds of Stormont and is a mixture of tarmac paths, gravel and trail paths. Well done Kirsty!

Waterside Half Marathon

Termoneeny runners turned in some extremely impressive performances on Sunday morning at the 38th Waterside Half Marathon in Derry.  Once again the route began in Ebrington Square, taking runners across the river to the cityside, showcasing the city’s parks, greenways and bridges before finishing at St Columb’s Park. Our first male home was Kevin Darragh in just 1:40:44, followed closely by our first lady home was Orla Hatt in 1:44:17.  Full results are as follows:  Kevin Darragh 1:40:44, Orla Hatt 1:44:17, Daniel Convery 1:47:27, Kerry Archibald, 2:04:00, Michelle Comer 2:16:40, Andy Campbell 2:19:29 (PB by 26 minutes), Ann Johnston 2:25:54 (PB by 7 minutes).

Laganside 10K

Congratulations to our members who ran the Laganside 10km on Sunday afternoon. The race started and finished within Ormeau Park. It took runners through the park onto the Ravenhill Road, along the Albertbridge Road, Lagan Towpath and Ormeau Embankment. Our first male home and winner of the M55 category was our very own Marrakesh Express, Mr. Tommy Hughes in a time of just 33:51! Scoring a fantastic PB was Raymond Keenan who finished in just 48:01. Our first lady home was Kirsty Quigg in an impressive 50:43. Full results are as follows:  Tommy Hughes 33:51 (1st M55), Raymond Keenan 48:01 PB, Kirsty Quigg 50:43,Sean Smith 54:51, Louise Trainor 59:52, Claire Hassan 59:52.   Fantastic running everyone!!
