Donegal East Three Quarter and Half Marathon

There were some superb results from  our members who took on the Donegal East 3/4 Marathon; Half Marathon in Ballybofey on Sunday. There was a choice between both the  three quarter and half half marathon distance. Weather conditions were extremely pleasant and the course proved to be more challenging than expected, however our runners pulled some impressive performances out of the bag on the day.  This was a perfectly timed event in the run up to the Dublin marathon, with many runners having planned this race into their marathon training schedule. In the three quarter distance our first male home was Declan Leung in an impressive 2:35:44 and our first lady home was Michelle Comer in an equally impressive 2:55:20!  Tracey Shanahan was our only member to take on the half marathon and scored herself a fantastic pb!  Full results:  THREE QUARTER MARATHON – Declan Leung 02:35:44, Kevin Darragh 02:48:42, Michelle Comer 02:55:20, Gerard Henry 03:11:35, Tara Montgomery 03:24:28, Andrea Convery 03:24:28, Kerry Archibald 03:29:51, Catherine Paul 03:31:43, Andy Campbell 04:47:45.   HALF MARATHON – Tracy Shanahan 2:25:26 PB!
