Termoneeny Running Club Round Up w/e 10th November 2019

A weekend of wet weather did not deter Termoneeny Running Club members from once again displaying excellent running at different races.

Davagh Forest 10k

The first fixture in Sperrin Harriers’ Winter League took place in Davagh Forest on Saturday morning.  This 10k consists entirely of trail terrain and includes several challenging inclines.  The heavy rainfall certainly made the route much more difficult but TRC members persevered and completed it with great results.  Appreciation is forwarded to Sperrin Harriers for their excellent hospitality and the club looks forward to the rest of the races in the league.

Results:  Thomas Doherty 41:39; Shaun Dillon 53:07; Tracey Paul 1:02:55

Drumragh 5k and Ballynahinch Run to Remember 5k

Andy Campbell is a runner with enormous commitment and he took part in two 5k races on Saturday. First, he ran the Drumragh Sarsfields G.A.C 5k at Clanabogan Park and finished in a fantastic time of 30:52. Andy also ran terrifically well at the Ballynahinch Run to Remember 5k and achieved a super result of 34:05. Well done to Andy.

Derry Parkrun

Well done to Kerry Archibald on completing Derry parkrun in a brilliant time of 25:40. This was Kerry’s 18th parkrun but first one in Derry.

Limavady Parkrun

Michael Burke finished in 3rd place at Limavady parkrun.  It was another great performance from Michael and he achieved a super result of 19:26. This was Michael’s 31st parkrun.

Victoria Parkrun, Belfast

Tommy Hughes had an excellent parkrun performance in Belfast’s Victoria Park where he finished in second place with an incredibly fast time of 16:34.

George Munday 10k

The club’s Chairperson, Jacqueline McGonigle, completed the George Munday 10k on Sunday whilst visiting friends in Cambridgeshire where she was born and grew up. It was fantastic to see Jacqueline back running again as she is still battling with an injury but she showed great determination and finished in 1:14:07. This was a fantastic result for Jacqueline. The race started from Leverington Sports and Social Club and was hosted by Three Counties Running Club. It appeared to be a terrific event.

Thanks and congratulations to all of our members who continue to represent the Club so well throughout the country and further afield in a variety of distances and disciplines.   If you are interested in joining Termoneeny RC please visit termoneenyrc.com or send us a message on facebook.
