Termoneeny Running Club Round Up w/e 12th January, 2020

Great running was on display by all members from Termoneeny Running Club at the weekend despite the inclement weather conditions.

Limavady Parkrun

Well done to Kerry Archibald who finished as second lady at Limavady Parkrun on Saturday morning. Although the rain was torrential, Kerry still managed to run a very fast time of 25:32.

Ecos Parkrun

Paula Smyth and her son Paul braved the weather conditions to complete Ecos Parkrun in Ballymena. Paul finished his third parkrun in a brilliant time of 27:34. Paula ran her eleventh parkrun and achieved a fantastic result of 29:19. Super running once again from the Smyths.

Antrim Parkrun

Undeterred by the rain, Andy Campbell still achieved a great result at Antrim parkrun. Andy ran his tenth parkrun and finished in a fantastic time of 34:28. Well done Andy.

An Creagan 5 Miler

Sperrin Harriers’ Winter Trail series continued on Saturday morning with the An Creagan 5 Miler. There were plenty of puddles and muddy sections to contend with but they proved to be no problem for the hardy TRC members. Tony Toner completed the course in a superb time of 35:15. Just shortly afterwards, Shaun Dillon crossed the finish line with a brilliant result of 39:00 and Tom Halferty also had a fantastic result of 54:20. Well done to all three members and thanks to Sperrin Harriers for hosting a terrific event.

Mallusk Cross Country

The Mathieson Cup and Shield Cross Country took place on Sunday at the City of Belfast Mallusk Playing Fields. Declan Leung was there to take part in his first cross country. The Men’s senior race was the last event of the day and consisted of an 8k course which was two laps of the playing field. The ground was uneven and Declan had a few short, sharp hills to contend with and of course lots of mud. However he thoroughly enjoyed it, finishing in a fantastic time of 36:13 and appreciated the hospitality from Mallusk Harriers. Well done Declan.

Congratulations to all the TRC members who represent the club so well throughout the country and further afield.  If you are interested in joining Termoneeny RC please visit termoneenyrc.com or send us a message on facebook.
