Irwin Speirs Memorial Cup XC

There was a fantastic turnout today for the Acorns AC Irwin Speirs Memorial Cup XC Race today outside Cookstown. We are pleased to have been represented in the men’s race by our Club Secretary Declan Leung, Tommy Hughes and Fergal Hughes. There was wind, mud, a little rain but everyone thoroughly enjoyed this testing 4 mile course which was 4 loops of the MUSA Parkrun course.

Thanks to Acorns for such a well organised event in memory of their friend and coach, Irwin.

Results:
Tommy Hughes : 25:34 (9th and 1st M60)
Declan Leung: 33:26
Fergal Hughes : 30:41

Carrickfergus Midnight Trail Half Marathon

On Saturday night,  at the stroke of midnight, our Chair Jacqueline took on the challenge of the We Run Wild NI Carrickfergus Half Marathon. This was a self-navigating event with directional notes to follow. The weather was perfect for the most part with the course taking in road, path, trail, mud, stones, hills and much more, but it was a superbly organised event with excellent hospitality at the end.

Peatland Park 5K

Congratulations to Andy Campbell, Olivia McKenna and Nicola Clements who ran Sunday morning’s 5K Peatland Park Family Run organised by Derrytresk Youth and Community Group. Despite some navigational difficulties everyone finished the course in good spirits with Olivia managing to clock up 5 miles!

Thank you and congratulations to all of our members who continue to represent the Club so well throughout the country and further afield in a variety of distances and disciplines.   If you are interested in joining Termoneeny RC please visit termoneenyrc.com or send us a message on facebook.
