Termoneeny Running Club weekly roundup w/e 15th December 2019

It was a cold weekend for running but Termoneeny Running Club members still managed to attend different fixtures and Christian Fortes O’Neill escaped the winter weather to complete a marathon in Malaga.

Upperlands Santa Run

Jacqueline McGonige, Andy Campbell and Norman Gibson dressed up in their finest red suits to take part in the Upperlands Santa Fun Run 5k on Saturday morning.  This was in aid of the Royal British Legion raising funds for a children’s Christmas party.

MUSA Parkrun

Three members took part in MUSA parkrun.  Anne Breen ran her 49th parkrun in 32:57.  This was a fantastic personal best for Anne.  The club looks forward to celebrating her 50th milestone at her next parkrun.  Ann McGarvey finished in 33:46 and Pauline McWilliams had a great result of 34:48.  Well done to all three ladies.

Limavady Parkrun

Damian O’Boyle finished in 5th place at Limavady parkrun and secured a superb time of 22:20.  Well done Damian.

Malaga Marathon

Christian Fortes O’Neill completed his 64th marathon in Malaga on Sunday.  This was his 14th marathon this year alone.  In temperatures of 21˚C, Christian still managed to finish in an excellent time of 3 hours and 38 minutes.  This makes it another amazing year of marathon running for Christian.

Thanks and congratulations to all of our members who continue to represent the Club so well throughout the country and further afield in a variety of distances and disciplines.   If you are interested in joining Termoneeny RC please visit termoneenyrc.com or send us a message on facebook.
