Workshop delivered by Rob Gilchrist. Rob is a coach for Omagh Harriers Juniors, Athletics NI Leader in Running Fitness certified, Run Director at Omagh junior parkrun and previously Mens Team Captain at Farnham Runners, supporting all levels of running within the club. Rob has 40 years running experience, including a 2:46 Marathon, over 25 marathons completed and thousands of miles covered across the world for racing and for pleasure.
Rob has extensively trained and worked with Shane Benzie, who has endorsed this workshop which is based on his research. Shane is a movement specialist and running coach and best selling author of the “The Lost Art of Running”(https://amzn.eu/d/0rpjn7m). His research takes him all over the world, where he studies natural human movement and how to turn it into human performance. Shane spends a lot of time with elite athletes, and has created a movement philosophy that focuses on the body’s elastic potential which maximises dynamic movement and significantly reduces the chances of injury.
