{"id":9917,"date":"2019-10-25T10:17:39","date_gmt":"2019-10-25T09:17:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nirunning.voodooltd.co.uk\/?p=9917"},"modified":"2019-10-25T10:17:39","modified_gmt":"2019-10-25T09:17:39","slug":"termoneeny-running-club-news-week-ending-20th-october-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nirunning.co.uk\/termoneeny-running-club-news-week-ending-20th-october-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Termoneeny Running Club News week ending 20th October, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a fantastic week for Termoneeny Running Club.\u00a0 Thomas Doherty came first in the Tamlaght O\u2019Crilly 5k and prizes were won by Tony Toner and Tom Halferty at Fergal\u2019s Ten Miler.\u00a0 A new personal best was recorded by Michael Burke who ran a sub-19 minute time for a 5k.\u00a0 In addition to these achievements, excitement is mounting at TRC because a long period of conscientious training has almost reached its culmination for members who are taking part in the Dublin City Marathon next weekend.\u00a0 The club wishes all its marathon runners the very best of luck.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Fergal\u2019s 10 Miler<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The third annual Fergal\u2019s 10 Miler race took place on Saturday morning at Davagh Forest.\u00a0 Well done to all TRC members who took part in this challenging but scenic route.\u00a0 Congratulations to age category winners, Tony Toner and Tom Halferty.\u00a0\u00a0 Appreciation is forward to Acorns AC for their exceptional hospitality and it was another fitting tribute to their late member, Fergal Mulgrew.<\/p>\n<p>Results:\u00a0 Damian Hughes 1:11:40; Tony Toner 1:14:27 (1<sup>st<\/sup> over 55); Damian O\u2019Boyle 1:21:10; Shaun Dillon 1:23:30; Kerry Archibald 1:33:07; Tom Halferty 1:52:39 (1<sup>st<\/sup> over 65)<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Tamlaght O\u2019Crilly 5k<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A tremendous performance was on display by Thomas Doherty at the Tamlaght O\u2019Crilly 5k on Saturday morning.\u00a0 Thomas flew around the course in a speedy time of 18:52 and took first place prize.\u00a0 Shortly behind him in fourth place was Cahal O\u2019Loan with a super time of 22:16.\u00a0 Well done to all members who participated in this very well organised and friendly local race.<\/p>\n<p>Results:\u00a0 Thomas Doherty 18:52 (1<sup>st<\/sup>); Cahal O\u2019Loan 22:16 (4<sup>th<\/sup>); Norman Gibson 26:29; Paula Smyth 31:03; Kay McPeake 31:03<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Antrim Parkrun<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Getting ever closer to the 50 parkruns milestone is Anne Breen who ran her 40th parkrun at Antrim and finished in a great time of 33:49.\u00a0 Well done Anne.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Limavady Parkrun<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aforementioned Michael Burke achieved a very well deserved personal best at Limavady parkrun.\u00a0 Michael broke the 19 minute barrier for a 5k and finished in 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place with an amazing result of 18:56.\u00a0 Excellent running as always from Michael.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Dungannon Parkrun<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pauline McWIlliams is also approaching 50 completed parkruns because she ran her 43<sup>rd<\/sup> in Dungannon on Saturday morning.\u00a0 Pauline recorded a fantastic time of 35:23.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks and congratulations to all of our members who continue to represent the Club so well throughout the country and further afield in a variety of distances and disciplines. \u00a0\u00a0If you are interested in joining Termoneeny RC please visit termoneenyrc.com or send us a message on facebook.
