Brennan Townshend (Scott Running) & Sophie Bubb (Lymington Triathlon Club) secure Mourne Skyline MTR titles!
Brennan retained his title, bettering his own COURSE RECORD when he broke the tape in 3:41:46 (1st place). Rob Sinclar (Highland Hill Runners) claimed the runners up spot in 3:44:57 (2nd place), with local man Mark Stephens (Newcastle AC) completing the top three in 4:03:18 (3rd place).
In the ladies race Sophie Bubb took the win after a pulsating battle with former Mourne Skyline MTR Champion Shileen O’Kane (Lagan Valley AC). Sophie clocked 5:07:06 (1st place) with Shileen following in 5:07:33 (2nd place). Sophie Grant (Beta Running) secured 3rd place in 5:17:24.
In the HELIOS IT Donard Descent, Rob Sinclar took the men’s top prize, covering the downhill 5k section in 25:47. Dub Runners athlete Bernadette O’Kane was the fastest lady over the segment in 33:40.
